Braces have been used for many years to straighten teeth, but for many adults the thought of wearing an obvious metal device for upwards of 24 months is a barrier to treatment. Braces or aligners?

Discreet orthodontics uses either fixed appliances – braces – or removable aligners to move your teeth into a new position, improving their alignment and correcting issues such as crowding or uneven spacing.

When you come into our North London dental spa for an orthodontic consultation, your dentist will examine your smile and will talk through the relevant treatment options, discussing the pros and cons of each device so that you can be confident you are making an informed choice about treatment.

Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles is one of the most popular cosmetic orthodontic treatments at our North London spa. This is a modern brace system that adapts the mechanics of traditional braces for the 21st Century.

Comprising tooth-coloured wires and clear brackets, Six Month Smiles are cosmetic braces with – as the name suggests – an average treatment time of just six months. Some people see results in as short a time as four months. Your dentist will tell you your predicted length of treatment at your initial consultation.

These braces work so quickly because they focus on the front teeth – those that show when you smile. They are not designed for major orthodontic correction, but we have other options at our North London clinic should you require more extensive treatment.

Clear aligners

We also offer treatment with Invisalign and the Inman Aligner. These clear devices fit over your teeth to guide them into a new position, and are removable.
