How cosmetic braces can revolutionise your smile

16th February 2016

Braces remain the best way to straighten teeth. At Denchic Dental Spa in North London, we understand that adult patients who dream of straighter teeth may not want to wear obvious metal braces for long periods. That’s why we offer several cosmetic orthodontic options to improve the appearance of your smile without the whole world having to know about it.

Cosmetic braces are designed first and foremost to change the aesthetic appearance of your smile. However, they can also have health benefits, as straighter teeth are healthier teeth because they are easier to keep clean, meaning that there is less chance of plaque bacteria building up and so reducing your chances of developing gum disease and tooth decay.

At our North London dental practice, we offer several discreet orthodontic options, both fixed braces and removable aligners. When you come in for your initial consultation, your dentist will examine your teeth and will discuss all the appropriate treatment options, so that you can choose the best one to suit both your needs and your lifestyle.

Here at Denchic in North London, we offer treatment with Six Month Smiles for patients who opt for cosmetic braces. As the name suggests, Six Month Smiles have an average treatment time of just six months (compared with up to 24 months for standard orthodontic appliances). They work so quickly because they focus on the front six to eight teeth – those that show when you smile.

As well as working more quickly than standard orthodontic devices, Six Month Smiles are also highly discreet, because they comprise clear brackets and tooth-coloured wires, so they blend in with the natural colour of your teeth.

Because of the shortened treatment times, patients who opt for treatment with Six Month Smiles will not experience the concerns about maintaining good dental hygiene during treatment that some standard orthodontic patients worry about – although you should still visit the hygienist for advice on cleaning around your braces.
